Letty Murphy Potter has everything
she ever dreamed of and more. No more saloons. No more
drunk men vying for her favors. No more nights wondering
if she'll have enough food to survive.
After finding gold in Denver City,
she and Eulis are rolling in money, and Eulis Potter,
who had his own demons to demolish, is proud to call
Letty his wife. They have the respect of the citizens
of Denver City and the beginnings of a fine home on
a hill overlooking the growing city below.
But life isn't through with Letty.
It's still waiting to deliver a blow to her soul, just
to remind her she's not really in charge. It's what
Letty does afterward that creates the legend she becomes.

Lost Blood
by Marco Abraham
|
This book contains explicit
accounts of the atrocities committed against the refugees
of Sabra and Shatila camps by the only eyewitness to
have survived and written a book about the horrors.
Marco Abraham was 18 years old when
he lived through the massacre. He realized he was witnessing
a horrific chapter in the history of the Middle East,
and vowed to tell his story. Shortly after leaving Shatila
camp following the massacre, he wrote down his entire
experience so as not to forget any of the details.
Amid massive Israeli civilian protests
over the possibility of their country’s involvement
in the Sabra and Shatila massacre, the Israeli government
created the Kahan Commission to investigate. The Kahan
Commission concluded that, “the Minister of Defense
(Ariel Sharon) bears personal responsibility.”
The transcripts of this investigation have never been
released. It is hoped that the Israeli government will
release these files this September, the 25th anniversary
of the massacre. The release of these transcripts will
be anticipated by millions of people worldwide.
Marco Abraham, born in the Palestine
refugee camp of Shatila, was raised to hate and fear
Americans as his country's "number one enemy,"
followed by Israel. Several years following his survival
of the massacre, he was required to come to the United
States on a job related assignment. He came with trepidation
and fear of what Americans would do to him. What he
saw when he arrived was that Americans were not evil,
they were not trying to kill him, they in fact lived
blessed lives of freedom and safety—working and
caring for their families, having food and homes and
enjoying their lives without living in fear. He was
raised, as many middle eastern people, with a lie—an
unrealistic and profound hatred and fear of Americans.
He is extremely proud to now be an
American citizen and is determined to share his story
and show that this country and it's values are indeed
"heaven" and more importantly, to attempt
to make us all understand the peace is not only desired
and hoped for but a desperate necessity. In his words,
"We are all brothers. We are all capable of making
decisions and please let those decisions guide our world
to peace."
Marco Abraham—as one who has
survived starvation—is donating 100% of the proceeds
of this book to feed starving children in Africa.
This book will haunt you. It will
change the way you view your world.
