The Journal Wheel and Guide Book

Journal Wheel and guide book

"Set the Wheel in motion for positive changes in your life!"

We love this neat little book and wheel because they are so handy, clever, easy-to-use and durable. We have all sat down at one time or another to write out our thoughts, to make things clearer and without even knowing it; we were doing wonderful things for our mental health. In fact, studies have shown journaling to be as healthy as exercising and as effective at relieving stress as eating chocolate!

Have you ever just killed time by writing? Maybe while waiting for a plane or at the doctor’s office you found yourself jotting down notes, making a grocery list, scribbling the lyrics to a song that has caught your attention or jotting a reminder to buy a card for a special occasion.

This method of putting pencil to paper in a loose format is called journaling. Journaling includes sketching and doodling too! For our friends who are writers, journaling can help get your creative ideas moving, expand a character’s depth, create vivid settings, or develop the emotion of a scene.

What role does The Journal Wheel play in this journey then? If you have ever thought about writing for better health and clarity, writing a story or even a novel, or recording your experiences for future generations and you get stuck or don’t know how to get the thoughts flowing, The Journal Wheel will help you.

Here are the steps to using The Journal Wheel:

  1. The outer wheel is simply spun around to line up with the date you pick, any date. Maybe it’s today’s date, maybe it’s a special date in history or some other date of significance to only you – you choose.

  2. Next, spin the inner disk labeled “emotions” to line up with the date you chose in Step 1. Pick any emotion from “happy” to “curious” to correspond with the date you chose in Step 1.

  3. Look in the window on the front of the wheel, the one with the red circle around it. In the picture you can see the window at about the 4:00 position. In that window, you will see what Technique to use. All of the techniques are easy to use and are explained thoroughly, starting on page 5 of the Guidebook.

  4. Now, turn the wheel over and on the back is another window, at the 3:00 position. This one tells you what Topic to write about. The topics start on page 12 of the book.
We hope you enjoy this journaling tool like we have, we know you will and we would like to hear from you after you have used it for just a few days.
